PrivaScan Privacy Policy

1. What PrivaScan Does

PrivaScan is a document-scanning app built to work entirely on your device unless you explicitly share content. Core capabilities include:

• Capturing photos via your device camera to scan documents, IDs, and signatures.
• Processing images locally to perform OCR and export PDFs, editable PDFs, and DOCX files.
• Sharing or exporting files only when you select a share or export action (PDF, DOCX, editable PDF, image, text copy, and similar options).

2. Information We Collect

PrivaScan does not automatically collect, store, or transmit personal data to Granite Digital servers. All scanning, OCR, and PDF generation happens locally on your device.

The only information we receive is what you choose to send through optional in-app forms:

• Contact Us: name, email, subject, and message (required except where noted as optional).
• Feature Requests: feature title and description, with optional name and email fields.

These forms use EmailJS to deliver your message to info@granitedigital.je. We use that information only to respond, provide support, or track feature ideas. We never sell or share it with third parties, and we delete it upon request.

3. Permissions

PrivaScan requests specific permissions to deliver its functionality:

• Camera – capture document images.
• Photos/Media/Files – import documents and save exports.
• Internet – send support or feature request emails (if you choose those options) and verify purchase status.

Permissions are used solely for the stated purposes. You can revoke them in your device settings, but doing so may limit or disable key scanning features.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Scans and OCR results stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
• PrivaScan does not run cloud backups.
• Emails you send through the app are stored securely in our email system so we can respond or follow up.

5. In-App Purchases

PrivaScan uses Google Play Billing for the Pro upgrade. Google processes all payment details—Granite Digital does not receive or store any financial information.

6. Children’s Privacy

PrivaScan is not directed at children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example, via the contact form), please reach out and we will delete the information.

7. Your Rights & Contact

You can request deletion of support or feature-request messages—or ask any other privacy-related question—at any time.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as PrivaScan evolves. The effective date at the start of the document reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
